Story
I have signed up to run the Leeds 10K in July to raise funds for my place of work, Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds.
Wheatfields is the most special place that provides expert care to local people living and dying with a terminal illness. This care is provided free of charge for as long as the patient and their families need it. It costs £10500 to run Wheatfields every day and since the arrival of Coronavirus, all the fundraising activities and income have all but dried up for months to come. Please sponsor me to help keep Wheatfields’ doors open so the hospice can continue to be a vital hub of support in these uncertain times.
Thank you! This isn’t going to be an easy challenge for me by any stretch. I’m not what I’d call a natural runner, had a knee injury earlier in the year and generally have to run with one of my errant hounds dragging me here there and everywhere on my one piece of exercise each day.
If you’d like to join me in raising vital funds for Wheatfields - it can be an exercise activity or perhaps a virtual quiz, or a birthday or anniversary fundraiser, you can join my team which I’m calling Walk for Wheatfields unless I get any better suggestions!!
Many thanks
