Story

Hurray!! It's over and I did it!

Perfect weather conditions and although not the most scenic of runs, a good atmosphere and turnout - over 4900 runners.

I ran in 1hr 53mins, which was not the time I had aimed for but acceptable given the circumstances.....I had a stomach bug which started two days prior to the event and I was still suffering on the morning of the race. I decided clenched muscles and a pack of Immodium would see me right. The result was a lack lustre and painful run. Fortunately the WC facilities were excellent!

Thank you so much for your support - the charity is hoping to open an 11th bed at it's centre for those facing serious illness. Your money will assist them in acheiving this.

Best wishes, Kirsten x

p.s Did I forget to mention that Bruce also ran?! He completed the course in 1hr 30mins, with a dodgy calf muscle....the man is a hero.
