Story
As many of you know, in 2010 I lost my beautiful friend Helen to cancer. She was only 35 and fought longer and harder than anyone could have expected.
Helen died of Cholangiocarcinoma, a cancer of the bilary tract, which like pancreatic cancer is often diagnosed too late making it hard to treat. Sadly, the survival rate is consequently low compared to other forms of cancer.
I'm walking the 'Shine' overnight marathon in support of pancreatic cancer research. I'm not looking forward to it because I know it's going to be hard, tiring and painful. However, one night of suffering will be nothing compared to what all those fighting cancer go through.
Cancer unfortunately touches us all and you will have likely already sponsored someone this year. I'm asking you (begging you really) to dig deep once again - please! By sponsoring me you can help more people survive pancreatic cancer and other cancers of the bilary tract.
Thank you so much for visiting and reading my page, and I'm sorry for the emotional blackmail, but it's a bloody good cause!
Big kisses, Kirsten xx
