Story

As announced in my Blog (http://kirstenejlskov.wordpress.com/2010/08/12/more-hairy-stories/) I decided to have some fun and challenge you to donate money to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. We already hit my £100 target (approx DKK 900 or USD 150) within a few hours and as promised I published photos of myself bald on the blog and on Facebook. However it would be great if my baldy head could raise even more money, so please keep donating!

I have chosen this charity because I do not know why I got Hodgkins Lymphoma. So far the thinking is that this kind of cancer is triggered by a combination of genetic/virus factors. More research is needed and I hope that sometime in the future they will understand what causes this disease, be able to prevent it and, when it does strike, have better ways to treat it, so that others won't have to go through what I am.

I have selected JustGiving as an easy and secure way to manage this challenge. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please get those credit cards out, dig deep and donate now!

PS: If you have ideas for other challenges to raise more money then let me know!
