This year, as part of my Cancer Biology course, I was introduced to the devastating effects of blood cancers. Unfortunately, my family were also to learn this first hand.

Despite best efforts, unfortunately treatments often prove unsuccessful and to improve these success rates will require more targetted therapy, which will require extensive research.

Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is currently the only UK charity dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for all blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

It is with hope that by embarking on a 26 mile cycle ride, I can raise money to help Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research with their fight against blood cancers.
