Story
Me, Maisie and Tavish will be abseiling the Falkirk Wheel on 21st March to raise money for Scouts. Until fairly recently I had no idea what an amazing group the Scouts are, and truly all they do. All three of us have learned so much, and now I'm a Scout leader I am really quite amazed at how much more I've learned AND HOW MUCH FUN I'VE HAD!!
The Scouting organisation needs funds to continue to do it's work though... and that's why we're doing this abseil.
I'll admit, I'm slightly pooping my pants! But I'll trust that we're in safe hands and go give it my best shot.
Please donate what you can - even £1 makes a difference.
Bit of background about our Scout pack in Methven:
7th Perthshire Scout Group has been running in Methven for as long as we can remember. Our group has a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack and a Scout Troop, hundreds of children from the village and surrounding villages have benefitted from it for many years. We are the largest voluntary organisation in the village and currently have around 75 children and young people attending regularly and it has been running at full capacity for over 7 years. The group is run solely by volunteers, most of which are from the village or surrounding area and have children who attend one of the sections.
Thanks to your support we can continue to give young people and adults unforgettable experiences and life-changing opportunities, regardless of background, ability, gender or sexuality. And it's not just our members who benefit from Scouting; the work we do makes a difference in communities across Scotland.
