Story
On average, 3 people die from an asthma attack in the UK every day. I developed asthma in my early 20s, making me one of the 4.3 million adults living in the UK with the condition. My asthma is fairly well controlled, but not everyone is so lucky. This is why I am excited to be running the 2022 London Marathon for Asthma+Lung UK so that they can continue to fund research into the condition.
Several years ago I broke my foot (while running). Due to complications it has been a long road to recovery and working as an NHS healthcare scientist during the pandemic has put even more of a break on my fitness. So this won't be a marathon winning any form of records, but I have never been one to take the easy route and am still determined to finish.
Please help me support Asthma+Lung UK and their work.
