Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page :)

Recently I've been toying with the idea of cutting my hair. Yes! I know what you're thinking - Why?!

Many of you associate me with my extremely long hair, so cutting off a  huge chunk will be a massive change. I haven't had short hair since I was five!

I read a while back that the hair can be used by the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for boys and girls who have lost their hair due to illnesses such as Cancer or Alopecia -  and the longer the hair, the longer the wig!

So I thought - Why not?! Better someone benefits from it as I only keep it tied up! Whilst the wigs are free for the children, they can cost somewhere between £300 - £500 to make.

Now here is my dilemma. I would prefer to donate to a lesser known charity - Ichthyosis.org.uk - this charity is close to my heart as my cousin was born with a form of this condition - and although she
was one of the lucky ones and doesn't have any visible afflictions, it could have been much worse. Being a rare condition, the support group was a godsend.

So whilst the Little Princess Trust will benefit from approximately 20" of my hair, I would like to take this opportunity to raise funds for Ichthyosis.

I vowed to donate my first real wage to charity, so I am super happy to start my fund with a hard earned £200 - Any
donations would be greatly appreciated.

Lots of love,

Kinnari xx
