Story
In normal times we would be taking to the streets of Kingston during Christian Aid Week to deliver envelopes, shake buckets and raise money for the world's poorest communities.
This year is obviously a little different!
- 6 clergy are each walking 4.5 miles every day, carrying 2 buckets of water from 10-16 May (Rose walks that far each day to collect 4 jerry cans of water - and then carries them home)
- We are using Christian Aid Week as a chance to give a gift of thanks for our Covid vaccines - and pray that all may have access to the vaccine
- Churches are using delivery-only envelopes as part of this year's house-to-house collection
- Zoom quiz (Saturday 15 May)

Remember that Christian Aid works with churches, individuals and local organisations in communities worldwide, supporting people of all faiths and none to rise out of poverty. We help people survive disasters, deal with the impact of climate change, find shelter from conflict and have a voice in their communities.
Message from Christian Aid: The climate crisis is leaving people hungry, homeless and heartbroken. People like Rose are struggling to survive without a reliable source of water. From drought to flooding, climate chaos robs people of control over their lives. I often feel hungry, Rose says. Because of climate change, I worry a lot about food. I pray to God that the rainfall will become normal like it used to be. In recent years, the drought has been so bad that its caused a hunger crisis. Crops wither and die. Rivers run dry. People struggle to survive. The coronavirus pandemic has only made this lack of water more critical for Rose. Without water for handwashing, it is a struggle to stay safe from the virus. Please support my fundraising and help to provide reliable water source, for people like Rose. Your gift will help support Christian Aid's vital work with some of the poorest communities in the world. Thank you!
