Dallaglio Cycle Slam · 12 February 2010 ·
In mid Febrauary (brrrrrrrrrrr) I am starting off in the Dallaglio Cycle Slam
which involves me cycling for 5 days from Rome to Nice, (700km, ) to raise money for Help for
Heroes, Leukaemia Research, Cancer Research UK, The PRA Benevolent Fund, Sport Relief and DebRA.
At Nice we pass the baton to the next stage riders. Each of the 5 stages takes in a capital city of the six nations rugby sides. A collosal total ride of 2,800 kms. With a monster, if not ambitious, target of £1million to raise for the below charities.
I have chosen the first leg at it is closer to the equator naturally and takes in some of the finest countryside in Europe, not that we'll be able to remember any of it. To make it more of a challenge I will demand that my teammates regularly fill their bumbags with marble samples as we pass over the Apuan mountains. for more info see http:www.dallagliocycleslam.com/
