Three amazing years ago, we were fortunate enough to become part of the most exciting opportunity and fantastic school community.

King's Gate Primary School opened its porta cabin doors to the most amazing group of families that I have ever had the chance to work with. Each family bringing their own story to the King's Gate building and each family trusting that King's Gate was truly something special.

From that day on, the King's Gate staff understood the hopes and dreams that had been entrusted upon them by these families for their children.

Since that day, as with all schools, it has not been plain sailing for King's Gate Primary with Covid causing closures to most children almost as soon as we opened.

Despite this, the King's Gate Primary School Community remained strong throughout this time, supporting each other through many challenging times.

In May, the school community was rocked by the devastating news that one of our original parents had sadly passed away from this dreadful disease leaving 2 totally awesome children and family.

As a result of this news, and wanting to do something in support and in memory of her, the King's Gate staff have entered the Great South Run and the Bournemouth 10k both in October 2022 to raise money for Cancer Research.

Please join with us on Sunday 9th October to run the Bournemouth 10k as part of Team King's Gate or on Sunday 16th October to run The Great South Run in Portsmouth - or both! If not, please come down to cheer us on and join with us in memory of Sophie.
