Story

Hi everyone!

Tessa and Alia here, we are 10 years old and want to make a difference. On a bike ride, we were chatting about how we could do something we love to help people who need love!

The idea of raising money to show our appreciation to the staff at Addenbrookes was the idea we came up with. The staff continue to work so hard and we think it is time that we do something too! Kindness matters!

We are going to be be biking 10k for five consecutive day from June 24th -June 28th.

It would be amazing for you to join us on our final and fifth day - June 28th to show how much we care as a community.

We would be grateful for donations. you can spare! So if you see two girls wearing the t-shirt above, please give us a smile or a little wave.

Thanks so much and let’s see where we go with this!

Background:

Please help Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust raise funds to support Addenbrooke's hospital and its staff during the coronavirus crisis. Cambridges' Addenbrooke's and Rosie maternity hospitals are under increased pressure during the current crisis. The hospital cannot and will not stop caring for people and its staff are going above and beyond to make sure that this care continues. We are all being asked to keep indoors, or work from home, or maintain social distance from our friends and family but our amazing NHS staff cant. They have to be there for us all.Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust is asking for your help to support the hospital and its amazing people. Unfortunately, due to restrictions the hospital cannot accept physical donations or gifts.Instead, the staff are encouraging people to donate money so that the hospital can best decide where the help goes.Your money could help fund emotional and physical wellbeing for staff on the frontline of the Coronavirus crisis as well.
