Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit mine and Andy’s JustGiving Page.

Please note the date of this event has now changed to 23rd October 2022.

Our nephew Louis has genetic hearing loss and AV therapy equipped his parents with the right tools and techniques to help Louis develop his auditory memory and speech. They helped fast track his speech and gave him a range of skills that stayed with him as he started school.

Without AV's support Louis's parents would not have known how best to help him beyond traditional speech therapy and wanted to do everything possible to support his speech development and AV provided the means to do just that.

The staff were amazing and AVUK never viewed Louis's hearing loss as a disability or barrier. Their goal was to ensure that he developed his speech and auditory memory and skills that support speech and this has meant Louis can achieve his full potential.

Louis now has cochlear implants and we are ver proud of him, Louis is amazing. Please support this brilliant charity who help transform the lives of deaf babies and children.
