Story

Hello! I'm Kimberly and I'll be running the London Marathon with Brain Research UK.

I was drawn to Brain Research UK because of their passion for research for those who suffer from neurological conditions. I've had an immediate family member pass away from an undiagnosed brain condition and they suffered from chronic migraine. Similarly, I am also a longtime migraine sufferer and understand the impact that invisible diseases can have on individuals' quality of life. I believe that further research is needed in these areas of medicine and am proud to be fundraising and bringing further awareness to migraine and other similar diseases.

On 2nd October 2022, I will be taking part in the TCS London Marathon for Brain Research UK. I share the charity's vision of a world where everyone with a neurological condition lives better, longer. Brain Research UK has three current research priorities: brain tumours, brain and spinal cord injuries, and headaches and facial pain. The charity also funds projects in other neurological areas, such as epilepsy and dementia. Please join me in supporting Brain Research UK by sponsoring me on this challenge. I will be very grateful for any donations towards this cause, no matter how big or small. Thank you very much.

The brain is the most complex organ in our body. It controls our emotions, senses and actions. So when it breaks down, we break down. We fund the best research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected. Let’s unite to accelerate progress. Today.
