Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am walking this years Parish Walk, aiming to get to at least Peel, and have decided to do so to support and raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis.
As some of may know this charity is close to my heart as I was diagnosed with MS almost 18 months ago.
The MS Society and the medical staff involved within this process have been a great support to myself, family and friends. I want to play my part in raising both awareness and donations in order to help support the charity. At the moment there is sadly no cure and every donation will help people who struggle on a daily basis with the simple tasks like walking.
Those of you who don’t know much about MS, Multiple sclerosis is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system). In MS, the immune system attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body.
My friends and family know I’m not the fittest of the bunch so that in itself is a challenge however I won’t let these legs give up on me yet. I may not be sure what the future holds for me and my body but I am willing to give this my best shot I want to do this for all those who suffer daily with the condition and hope we can beat this together 🧡🧡
