We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

I am running (!) the Royal Parks Half Marathon to help raise money and awarness of the Alzheimer's Society.

This is a charity which means alot to myself and my family. I'm running in memory of my Great Grandma, a truely amazing women who passed away in April last year

Running the half marathon is going to be no easy task, I used to skive PE lessons and I drive absolutly everywhere.

I've had to have 2months out of training due to shin splints but I'm determinded to carry on and I shall complete this even if i have to crawl across the finish line.

I've even joined the gym in my effort to finish in a respectable time!

I hope that you can sponser me in this venture with any amount of money you can and help support the Alzheimer's society.

Any money raised for the Alzheimer's Society helps to provide support for people living with dementia and their family's. Money is also invested on research so as to better understand the causes of dementia and how it can be treated or prevented.

There are currently 750,000 people with dementia in the UK, two thirds of which are women

60,000 deaths a year are directly attributable to dementia

Please vist the Alzhemiers society website if you would like to know more http://alzheimers.org.uk/

Thank you very very much for your support, it means a lot

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
