Story
Thank you so much for visiting my JustGiving page.
I'm adding a little bit extra here now…
Along with this Sunday's 10k, for various reasons I have taken up the challenge of running in the Stonehaven Half Marathon on Sunday 6th July. This is first half marathon I've done, and well, I'm bricking it! As well as this, on Sunday 1st June I will taking part in the KiltWalk… 26 miles from the Duthie Park to Potarch. So in total, these events three events will see me cover 45 miles…
As always any donation you can give is appreciated, no amount is too little. And your support will go a very long way to helping me finish that 45th mile!
Much love,
Kim xx

My original story...
Well, my pack has arrived, training is underway and in 3 weeks I will be running my fifth 10k. Every second year I have taken the opportunity to raise money for charity and so far together you have helped me raise a combined total of £765; for Sport Relief, Maggie’s Centre and the Scottish Association for Mental Health.
Having watched Bob’s Story on Sport Relief 2014 and after the seeing the early affects of dementia on a family friend, this year I will be raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK, the UK’s leading dementia research charity, whose work will hopefully one day lead to a world without dementia, a most tragic disease for sufferers and close ones alike.
If we can raise £235 this time it will take your total donations over the past four years to £1000. Amazing!!
So here’s the deal... for the four weeks prior to the race I will be alcohol free, that’s right chums, no drinking for a month! I am one week into my dry month challenge and it would mean so much if you beautiful people could donate whatever you can to keep me sober, keep me motivated to break the hour for the first time and most importantly aid in the fight against dementia.
Big love and thanks,
Kim xx
