Fundraising for County Air Ambulance Trust
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, really means a lot!
I'M GOING BACK TO MY RACING ROOTS!
As a brief rundown of what's happening, I am taking part in the Charity Race at Ludlow Racecourse on the 24th March at 6.15pm.
I shall be riding the absolutely beautiful 'Viking Johnson' who has very kindly been gifted to me and is a very striking dappled grey (so everyone will be able to see which one is me on the day!) 'Victor' hasn't been on a racecourse for a while and so I'm hopeful he'll remember what to do and not try and take me down the chase course!
The race is being ran in aid of the HELP Appeal, (Helicopter Emergency Landing Pads) to raise money to put more 24 hour helimed landing sites in across Shropshire. At the moment Helimed are unable to operate at night due to a lack of safe landing sites, but if we can raise enough money we can get some 24hour landing sites ran by a team of dedicated volunteers alongside the ambulance service in full time use across the county.
As most of you will know I'm a local Paramedic at Craven Arms and so I see first hand how much we really need and make use of the air ambulance, and with travelling times to hospital over an hour in most parts of the county, the more landing sites the better!
So come on guys, dig deep, you never know when you might need the air ambulance!
