Story

Amy had a tragic accident, which left her blind. Since the accident, she has tackled life full on.

Guide dogs have helped Amy a lot. From teaching her mobility and independent living skills to get her life back on track. She is currently awaiting a Scottish guide dog.

Amy and Jenine joint Marchmount bowling club recently and are really enjoying it! Three of the Kilted warriors - John Jarvie, Bobby Jess and Allan Glendinning are doing this Kiltwalk blindfolded to understand some of the difficulties a blind or visually impaired person can face.

Amy, her family and friends, from Marchmount bowling club are so grateful for what they have done for Amy and want to give back to Guide Dogs to help other people like Amy!

We are looking forward to getting our guide dog ears t-shirts, socks, and tartan on and raising money for such a good cause!

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
