Shiroma's 105km walk for 105 days in hospital due to COVID

Kilometres for King's 2021 · 31 December 2021 ·
Last April I was hospitalised with COVID-19 at Princess Royal Hospital, part of the Kings college Hospitals. I was in ICU for 2 monrhs hooked on to a ventilator totally oblivious to my surroundings. It was the round the clock care of the amazing ICU doctors and nurses that brought me out of my coma to the road to recovery.
These were very trying times for my family and they started praying unceasingly to God for my recovery, forming prayer groups with many friends and family across the globe.
This miracle is a testament to the Mercy of God, the total dedication of ICU doctors & nurses, the faith of all who prayed for me.
I had a further 2 months stay in hospital due to complications and no visitors were allowed during my total hospital stay due to the pandemic. So the kind and caring nurses, physios and doctors became my family who were working tirelessly to take good care of me during these times. I still suffer from long Covid symptoms. I volunteered for post Covid research projects at King's College hospital which investigates certain lingering problems of long Covid.
In gratitude for the great care I received I would like to raise funds through "KILOMETRES FOR KINGS" for the NHS Heros who worked tirelessly putting themselves and their families at risk during the pandemic and for the research Projects that helps future treatments.
So I would like to challenge myself to walk 105km for the 105 days stay in hospital due to Covid, before my 1st anniversary of hospitalisation, to raise funds for Kings college Hospital charity. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
