Story

April 2021 will mark 1 year since our Dad, Martin, was discharged from hospital following admission to Princess Royal Farnborough on 29th December 2019 after a major stroke.

Dad spent 16 weeks in Kings Trust Hospitals in Farnborough and Orpington (with several escape attempts along the way) before eventually being discharged, just as the pandemic began to hit the UK...

Those of you who know Martin personally, will know that he is a very strong willed, determined individual - or putting it frankly, a real stubborn sod at times...!

12 months on, he is determined to mark the occasion and raise as much money as possible for King’s College Hospital charity.

To support such a fantastic cause, Dad, Britt and myself will be aiming to achieve 1,000KM between us throughout April.

Despite still having little to no mobility in his left side, Dad isn’t getting off lightly and will be taking to a Motomed bike to pick up his share of our target.

Whilst we try and lose pounds, please dig deep and donate some of yours too... by donating to a Hospital that has not only been phenomenal in saving Dad’s life, but also continue to work wonders during such testing times.

Thank you all for your support... wish us luck!

Martin, Ben & Britt
