Story
The Killick/Luff family are taking the plunge in memory of:
Stella Killick (1932-2009)
John Baker (1936-2010)
Patricia Wones (1931- 2008)
and all other people whose lives have been shortened by a terminal illness
Peter
“I am a retired company director and I was married to Stella from 1956 until her sad death in 2009. Stella came under the protective wing of The Hospice soon after she was diagnosed with cancer, right up until the time of her death. During Stella’s two year illness, she received nothing but compassion and professional care from all the various arms that the Hospice provides and I and my family will be forever grateful that Stella was able to meet her end with courage, dignity and without pain. PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY TO HELP THIS MOST WORTHY OF CAUSES THRIVE BY SPONSORING ME, DEBBIE, VIKKI AND RACHEL IN OUR MAY 13 SKYDIVE.”
Debbie
“I am a mother of three and I am looking forward to doing the skydive and raising some money for The Hospice who help so many people. Although a little bit scared, I won’t be able to back out as my two daughters are doing it, as well as Peter ... see you all on the ground!”
Vikki
“I decided to take on this challenge when I realised it was important to Peter. The Hospice helped him in his time of need and I wanted to help him to say ‘thank you’ to The Hospice’s cause. I am also a person who likes a challenge so bring it on!!”
Rachel
“I am a second year Events Management student at Bournemouth University. I decided to do this skydive as I wanted to get involved with raising money for a good cause and help those who need it most. I have relations who talk greatly about the work of this charity. Therefore, I feel that, if I can help, then why not, even if it means jumping out of a plane. SO PLEASE HELP BY SPONSORING ME!!!”
Hospice in the Weald provides compassionate, individualised, holistic and supportive care for all patients with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their carers and families. This care is provided free of charge, not as part of the NHS and over £5million is needed each and every year to ensure the service can continue. We are therefore taking the plunge to help raise valuable funds for the Hospice.
Please help us do this, every little helps.
Thank you for your support.
