‘HIKING FOR LITTLE HEROES"
On the 27th December 2022 24 Orangemen associated with Banbridge Orange Hall are travelling over 7,000 miles to Tanzania to climb the World's highest free standing mountain, Kilimanjaro.
Standing at 5,895m its known as the Roof of Africa and is the highest mountain on the Continent which means it takes its place as 1 of the worlds 7 Summits.
The group will be doing the 8 day Lemosho Route and hope to reach the summit of the dormant Volcano in the early hours on the 4th January 2023,
The challenge is being totally funded by the 24 participants and are doing this to raise much needed funds for 4 incredible local charities, that are very much close to our hearts, The Children Cancer Unit in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Angel Wishes, Cancer Fund For Children and B Positive.
So far Hiking for Little Heroes has raised over £230,000 for children's cancer charities across Northern Ireland
