Hi, thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I thought it was time to make my mark, reach a milestone, do something worthwhile, and help others in the process.  After seeing a programme on television about a military ER in Afghanistan, a box of tissues later (for my tears!), I felt inspired to do something for the charity "Help for Heroes".  The fact that I'm an 'Army Brat' and have family members still serving, means the charity is even more of an inspiration to me.

As I have just taken up walking and having managed to conquer the 'mountains' of Yorkshire, I decided to use this new found hobby and climb a 'moderate' hill in Tanzania....unfortunately the hill in question is Mount Kilimanjaro!!   

After 8 months of training I finally flew off to Africa to 'earn my sponsorship' last week and as you can see from the photo I successfully reached the top on the 10th December at about 8am local time.  It was incredibly hard, but the messages of support from everyone who has sponsored me really spurred me on.

As a team we have raised over £100,000 which is amazing and will hopefully help our injured heroes now and in the future.
