Story
Up until November 2019, a band of eight mad friends 🌝 were training with me to climb Kilimanjaro to raise money for the MS Therapy Centre, Edinburgh. Unfortunately, due to a fall, the subsequent brain injuries acquired and then COVID-19, this is no longer possible. Kilimanjaro 31 is the alternative.
I'm a crazy middle aged woman with MS, Brainstem Encephalitis, and now an acquired brain injury from the recent fall, affecting travel, balance and my ability to walk. I plan to walk the 3.663 mile height of Kilimanjaro using a race runner (an assisted walking trike), every day from 7th August - 6th September 2020. It would be brilliant if you would be able to sponsor me and help me reach my goal of £3,663.00 for a great cause!
The MS centre is a brilliant place where a wide range of people gather for group and individual therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, physiotherapy, massage, Reiki, hypnotherapy, pilates, yoga, and a great cup of tea and a natter. Their support for me over the last ten plus years has been bloody brilliant!! 👍 They are an amazing bunch of dedicated professionals and volunteers and the centre needs as much support as possible, especially during the coronavirus crisis.
