This is the second in a series of challenges being under taken by members of the Torbay Lifeboat Crew cumlinating with the climbing of Mount Kilimanjaro in Febuary 2023.

The team led by the station Coxswain, Mark Criddle, cycled over 200 miles across six islands in the Western Isles of Scotland in June. It is an endurance challenge known to cycling enthusiasts north of the border, but less well known to our Devon based sea-farers!

Mon 20th June - Travel from Brixham to Ardrossan

Tue 21st June - Ferry from Ardossan to Arran - Cycle 20 miles - Ferry from Lochranza to Claonaig - Cycle 6 miles - Ferry from Kennacraig to Port Ellen

Wed 22nd June - Port Ellen - Cycle 19 miles - Ferry from Port Askaig to Jura - Cycle around Jura

Thu 23rd June - Boat to Colonsay and cycle 15 miles around island - Ferry to Oban

Fri 24th June - Ferry from Oban to Craignure - Cycle 40 miles to Tobermory

Sat 25th - Day Off

Sun 26th - Travel Home
