WE DID IT!!!
Adam and I summited Mount Kilimanjaro on 23.8.10 at 6.25am as the sun was rising!! It is the most amazing experience ever! Thankyou so much to all of you who have supported us!!
Hello!! Thank you for visiting our page. We will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in August this year to raise as much money as possible for the Myasthenia Gravis Association. This charity was chosen as my father was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis four years ago. Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is an auto-immune disease characterised by fluctuating, sometimes fatal muscle weakness. Activities taken for granted such as smiling, eating, talking and using our limbs, can be extremely difficult for people with MG. MG is a rare illness but can affect ANYONE, at ANY age. It is a life changing and often debilitating illness. The money raised will be used for research, care and education. One of the biggest problems is the fact that as it is so rare. People can go undiagnosed for months, even years, with symptoms continuing. So please spread the word and support the association. Mount Kilimanjaro, in north-eastern Tanzania, is the highest mountain in Africa and among the tallest freestanding mountains in the world rising to 5,895 meters (the Uhuru Peak). This seems like an amazing challenge to raise money for charity!! Please support us and help raise money for the Myasthenia Gravis Association, Thank you very much, Hannah and Adam I will be flying out to Tanzania to work in a local hospital in Moshi for five weeks (looking at the mountain!) before ‘the big climb’ and we will try and keep everybody posted with regular emails. If you would like to be added to the list and find out how we are getting on please email me hannahwadey@hotmail.co.uk. Thanks again, Hannah
