We fund paediatric brain tumour research to help save lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Katy was my beloved and much cherished beautiful 10 year old daughter. In October 2011, after returning from Florida, Katy was diagnosed very suddenly and unexpectedly with a brain tumour. Much worse than that, it was inoperable and terminal.

Katy fought as hard as she could but the illness took over and sadly we lost her in January 2012 after only 3 months. Our lives changed forever

Katy and I always wanted to climb Kilimanjaro together so i am going to do it in her memory instead in August 2014! It saddens me to know that Katy won't be with me when i do it however, there's a whole bunch of lovely people who are so i won't be alone :-)

The money raised will go towards finding a cure for brain tumours because they are now the BIGGEST cancer killer of children and adults under 40 in the UK. The Government gives less than 1% towards research. We can't stand by and do nothing about it so please stand beside us and help us to find the cure :-)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

The Katy Holmes Trust has been set up in memory of our beautiful daughter Katy to find a paediatric brain tumour cure. Brain tumours are the BIGGEST cancer killer of children in the UK and the most poorly funded by Government with only 0.7% given towards research. We aim to fund research ourselves.
