Story
"Ladies & Gents"
- yes indeed, all you - you are all - tremendous friends from my years at school & college, friends from my time working and travelling South Africa and Australia, and of course, all the friends I have around me in Herefordshire, and those I have come to know through cycling...
Over the years, I have thrown myself at business and family life, and so now I am settled, (and without a Livestock enterprise) it is a pleasure to have some time, to get into a sport once again. I want to convey to you all, that I am proud to give something back....and to raise money for this charity, Cure Leukaemia, and cycle London to Paris, commencing on the 18th June is not something I take on lightly. I have had to tough weekend mornings out there on the bumpy Hereford roads, building my fitness, and it's no walk in the park!
So briefly, I have been training only since March, and although this is a limited period, I seemed to have lost weight, have developed a focused commitment, and am determined to see the finish line in Paris on the 21st June..!
I hope - and intend - to have a great time along the way! Frankly speaking, I am not so keen on sitting on that thin seat for so long....but I know that raising money for such an excellent charity, as Cure leukaemia, the social interaction, meeting new and like-minded people will all be, I believe, likely to be a highly rewarding experience of my life!
Therefore, All I can say - and ask - in these closing lines are, actually, I haven't changed a bit, since when you may have known or met me, and I therefore now ask for you to dig deep, and give as generously as you can, as I will be putting "my all" into this, and for your support, in this way, may I sincerely thank you for your generous support !
Thank you, Kier!
