Story

Last year an ex-pupil and friend of mine tragically took her own life aged just 17. I taught Lucy for 3 years and spent nearly every day with her laughing. From convincing me to carry her at PGL for 2 days when she was 'injured' to playing football every lunchtime for 3 years, I got to see her grow into an amazing person.

Lucy inspired me to go into coaching girls' football due to her passion in primary school. She was kind, caring, sarcastic and incredibly funny and a pleasure to teach!

I've wanted to do this challenge for some time, and I don't think there is any better way to remember and continue Lucy's legacy by bringing awareness and doing all I can to prevent another tragedy happening to anyone else.

So, the challenge is... 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours starting at 8am on October 15th and finishing 8am on October 17th. I know I won't do it as fast as she would have but I will give it my best shot!
