I love running marathons but in doing so my girls endure my obsessional training. They and I will see this as worth every moment providing their sacrifice has a purpose. As Head Teachers, Bec and I have experienced the devastation of children in our schools facing cancer. Worse than this is the fact that our own girls have experienced losing children close to them makes this fundraiser even more important.

At Children with Cancer UK they actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Their vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.

When I cross the finish line in Musselburgh, I will hear that bell ring!
