Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Alzheimer’s was an upsetting condition that stole my granny away from me and my family. It was hard watching her mind drift from this world to a place that was not accessible to anyone. Even more difficult to comprehend was the fact that she did not recognise me or that of her own children, which was especially difficult for my own mother. I hope my trek on Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world, will help me share my experiences with others who faced this challenging time and in doing so raise invaluable funds that will aid the precious work that the Alzheimer’s Society do to assist others to receive the right care and support, and help towards funding vital research that could delay the onset of dementia. Through your generous support, together we can support Alzheimer’s Society build a better future for suffers and their families.
