Front Flips To Fight Myeloma

Flips To Fight Myeloma · 25 April 2020
Since my Grandad was a teenager he was always extremely interested in flying. Throughout my life, we have spent countless hours together playing on his flight simulator. Because of Grandad's passion for flying, the grandchildren have decided to attempt to front flip all the way along the length of Manchester Airport's Runway 1 and back again to raise money for Myeloma. Grandad was born in Manchester and trained as an apprentice aeronautical engineer there for many years. We are measuring one front flip as 0.5 metre and will aim to do 400 front flips between us per day. The total length of Runway 1 is three kilometres so we hope to complete our challenge in 30 days. We all love our Grandad very much and he has been suffering for 4 years with Myeloma. In these times it is even more important to raise money and awareness as Myeloma patients can be up to ten times more vulnerable to Covid-19.
