Story

I have been inspired by some of the great stories I have seen and read to try and raise some money for my local hospital. Bronglais General Hospital is Britain’s smallest DGH, but provides excellent rural healthcare. I have decided to help purchase a Coagucheck INR testing machine for Bronglais Endoscopy Department. This piece of equipment will enable on the day, point of use, INR testing of patients who are taking warfarin. This will improve access, safety and reduce delay.

Being a father of 2 young girls and a busy full time worker has left little time for exercise, as each year has passed I have become less fit and active. To combat this, promote healthy living and seriously challenge myself I have signed up for a series of running and endurance events. In July 2018 I ran for 9 minutes and then had to stop, I am now training towards a marathon. I have completed the Swansea 10k,Cardiff Half Marathon, Llangurig to Aberystwyth Ultramarathon, the Narbeth Night Nobbler 10k and Wirral Half Marathon. All that remains is the Newport Marathon. It has been 1000 miles of training, 70 miles of racing so far with another 26.2 miles to go.
