IMPORTANT UPDATE 9th August 2011

Due to me sustaining an injury after crashing on a training ride and spending 4 days in hospital 2 weeks before the challenge I have had to regrettably delay the challenge until June 2012. I currently have 40 stitiches from the crash and i am unable to walk without the aid of crutches never mind ride. I will be back training soon and will be even more motivated to raise extra funds. Thankyou so far to all who have donated.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My name is Kieran and I have decided to take on a personal challenge, starting on 19th August 2011. My personal challenge I have set is to climb the national three peaks and cycle between each one. I aim to do this in less than 40 hours and 57 minutes, as this is the current world record set in 1999, by a man called Dave Jones. This is a total of approximately 460 miles. I have always been very motivated by keeping fit and always enjoy a challenge! I have seen very close relatives suffer from cancer, and the effect on them and our families left a lasting memory. With this in mind I decided to take up this challenge to help raise as much as I could for cancer research uk. Cancer touches every individual in some way throughout their life, be it personally or through friends or colleagues.This is why I decided to take on a challenge for myself too, as raising the money will feel much more 'well earned' as i try to break a record and set myself a massive personal challenge too! I really hope people will give generously as together we can change so many lives. Living in such as sophisticated society as we do, cancer should still not be taking so many lives, so unneccessarily. Let's beat it together!! Give generously and I promise i'll give the challenge my all!!
