Hi everyone,

So, this year is a special one. I have decided to follow a long-term goal, a personal bucket list aim of giving charity in person. I am travelling to Uganda in October from the 24th to the 31st on a self-funded aid trip with ‘Hope for Mankind’ charity who have a 100% Donation Policy.

Giving money is one thing but going out and helping in person not only feels different but also allows me to see who my charity is benefitting. I hope to raise funds for this trip and would appreciate if my family, friends, and supporters would also contribute. May all your donations be accepted by Allah SWT. WITH YOUR SUPPORT I am hoping to raise at LEAST £2,520 to provide 63 Food Parcels costing £40 each (ZAKAT APPLICABLE) & weighing at least 40+KG each.

PLEASE DONATE (ZAKAT APPLICABLE) towards my £40 (40+KG) Food Parcel which will last a poor family of 5 for at least 1 month.* Each 40+KG Food Parcel will contain the following: 20kg Flour, Oil, 10kg Rice, Tea, Sugar, Various Tins, (Peas, Lentils), Mixed Biscuits, Breads & Milk Powder.

41% live in poverty in Uganda & it is amongst the poorest nations in the world with 75% of the 48 million population living in rural areas. The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated the poverty in Uganda. Many live in straw roofed mud built homes which have no electricity, water or sanitation. At least 20 million people DO NOT have access to clean water with much of Uganda is open water & swampland, which is undrinkable. This gives rise to water borne diseases.

The cost of living crisis & global food prices has also affected the poorest nations like Uganda with food prices increasing multi-fold.

Whilst visiting Uganda insh’Allah we will also be hoping to open Water Wells, provide community meals, treats for children, clothes for Orphans & the Poor. We will visit Hope for Mankind’s Orphanage in the Capital city, Kampala.
