Help KFC and the World Food Programme to fight hunger around the world

The UN’s World Food Programme is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. It is the leading organisation focused on getting food to victims of emergencies and natural disasters, such as the devastating floods in Pakistan. They save victims lives by getting food to where it is needed, fast. They then help in the aftermath by providing food to help communities rebuild shattered lives. Each year, on average, WFP feeds more than 90 million people in more than 70 countries.

KFC and its global parent company Yum! have supported the UN’s World Food Programme for the past 3 years, and so far Yum! has raised almost $60 million globally through staff and customer donations.

This year KFC UK and Ireland is planning its biggest year ever in support of the World Food Programme and numerous fundraising activities are being planned across more than 750 stores. We have taken the theme of a journey to inspire our campaign and September will see all our staff ‘Hiking for Hunger’ to raise money for this fantastic cause.

We invite all our customers to support our fight to end world hunger – please don’t forget to donate when you come in to one of our stores, and go along to any local store fundraising events – check in-store for details.
