Valentines Raffle

The pandemic has really impacted the Duchess of Kent house. Just last week I received an email for support in raising vital funds from the fundraising team. The team have explained how the hospice is now opening more beds to help more patients and to take the extra load off the Royal Berkshire Hospital, who right now are full to bursting. They are offering end of life care, palliative care and really need our help to keep the hospice funded.
This has meant extra fundraising is vital and sadly we know the pandemic has hit fundraising very hard. The Duchess of Kent needs our help. We sadly could not put on our annual Christmas light display so we hope to help out in a smaller way with this Valentine’s raffle

Lockdown, PPE and visitor restrictions didnt stop Sue Ryder. They kept on caring because people like me cared too. But there is one thing that could stop them now. With less income from their shops and many fundraising events cancelled this year, they already have £2m less coming in each month than they need to keep running at full capacity. We are now in a second national lockdown; every week Sue Ryder's shops are closed the charity loses an additional £500,000. Coronavirus cases are on the rise again and conditions like cancer are going untreated. Sue Ryder Nurses and healthcare staff are needed more than ever at a time when they simply dont have enough funding. Were facing an end-of-life care crisis the likes of which weve never seen before.
