Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Kevin Mowat.

I run for the Bitton Road Runners and recently heard of Eve Bressington, a local 16 year old who has recently been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called GIST (Gastro Intestinal Stromal Tumour).

I’ve been running for four years and will be running in the Boston marathon in America on 18th April 2011. This is the first time that I have run in aid of a charity.

I heard about Eve’s plight at Christmas and could think of no better way to help than to focus my running skills on raising funds for the PAWS-GIST doctors who have come together in 2011 with the sole purpose of working to improve treatments and find a cure for Eve and the other Paediatric, Adolescent, Wildtype & Syndromic GIST patients in the UK.

What’s in it for me?

It will make me run faster and the thought that I am helping this fantastic cause will give real meaning to my efforts. All sponsorship donations will go straight to GIST Support UK’s PAWS-GIST fund and will be used by the doctors to further their research and support the PAWS-GIST patients in the UK.

Thank you for sponsoring me and if you are a tax payer please make sure that you gift aid your donation so that we maximise the funds raised.

Kevin

Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me including the offline sponsors who have donated £423. PAWS-GIST are extremely grateful for your help.
