I hate running but do love a challenge so why not do an Ultra Marathon I thought to myself?! Actually, as it happens, there are lots of reasons for not doing but where’s the fun in that?
So I aim to run and walk 65 miles in around 16 hours of moving time. Am running for Combat Stress for a few reasons and they are a very worthy cause that I hoe you will help me support
Combat Stress are the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health and means a lot to quite a few people I know.
For over a century, they’ve helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
They’re on a mission to raise awareness that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones. So when a veteran is having a tough time, they’re there to help them tackle the past and take on the future.
