Story
I work as a volunteer at Maggie's Cancer Support Centre in Manchester. I do this to try and help this fantastic support organisation for people with cancer and their relatives. It is a very satisfying role, and I am incredibly impressed by the care that is provided for people.
Maggie's is an independent charity and is not funded by any major healthcare bodies. Every time that you read my blog, It would be great if you could donate a small amount to help their work. For example, if everyone donated £1.00, then we would raise £10,000 a week!
What is Maggie's?
Maggie's Manchester needs your support now more than ever.
Maggie’s is a cancer support centre that provides the best possible support free to anyone with cancer and their families. The centres are alongside NHS hospitals.
What do they do?
We help people regain control when cancer turns life upside down with professional support for anything from treatment side effects to money worries. Our visitors do not need an appointment; they just come in.
Maggie’s is not part of the NHS; we are an independent charity. Our centres also have psychologists and benefits advisors available for those with cancer and those close to them. We also work with experts who provide exercise groups, yoga, nutrition advice and much more.
We will always be there for people with cancer, but we need you alongside us. Please do whatever you can to help by supporting us today.
