Update 6th March 2011
Well we went to see the Guide dogs in training yesterday, and it only confirmed just what an excellent job they do. We met some people who's lives have been changed by having a guide dog, and found out it costs £48k for each dog throughout it's lifetime, as even when they retire, the guide dog association picks up the bill.
Dogs that don't make the grade as guide dogs, can be used as hearing dogs, or as dogs for the disabled. This is a truly worthwhile cause, and every penny (or pound) is gratefully received.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm running two marathons in a week !! That's a lot of running.
The training is going well, I'm doing about 30-40 miles a week. I've had blisters - lots of them, but for a novice to take on such a challenge is proof that I think the good work that Guide Dogs do deserves our support.
I'll do all the leg work, (if you'll pardon the pun), all you've got to do is dig deep and donate.
