Hi, thank you for visiting my Just Giving fundraising page! I am running the 2023 Edinburgh Marathon for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) UK.

They are a fantastic charity, who have been amazing help and support to our family while our daughter Beth has required specialist care in Manchester.  The link below details Beth’s journey through the first month of  life and how Ronald McDonald House Manchester provided invaluable support during this time.

We have had two further stays at RMHC, the last of which was for over a month. Again RMHC allowed us to stay close to Beth for the entire time. The staff, as always have been amazing, arranging fun days which were great for the kids and their families. The staff also went above and beyond in helping arrange for Beth (and her ward bed) to be transferred over to the room at RMHC towards the end of the stay, so she could spend the night with her whole family and not on a ward for the first time in over a month. 

RMHC is crucial in keeping families together, at time when it is most important.

The cost of a day's care varies between the houses but is approx £900 in Edinburgh and £1700 in Manchester. So any help is greatly appreciated by RMHC!

Beth is doing really well, a typical 2 year old who loves nursery, swimming and causing chaos around the house!
