We search for and support missing people to ease the heartache for their families.

Story

On the 21st November 2003, my Dad, Kevin Edward Fasting, left for work...and never returned. He has been a missing person ever since, with the case unresolved and no signs. The biggest regret I have is that he left when I just turned 21, when I was still very much a kid, and he never got to see the man that I turned out to be. Everything I have achieved since, and aim to achieve, is to make him proud.

You would think that this type of thing is very rare, however hundreds of thousands of people like this go missing each and every year in the UK alone, many of them children. Some return home, some turn up somewhere else, and some like my Dad never return. Families who are left behind have to deal with the not knowing, along with the complicated legal systems surrounding this issue.

Since then I have started a business, named in memory of my Father, Kevin Edward Associates and it has always been my goal to become a corporate partner of Missing People, to try and contribute so other families in my situation can recieve the same help that we did. This year that goal has become a reality and to start things off I have arranged this event to raise an initial £5000, with plans to raise money for many years to come.

A group of true friends have agreed to join me in cycling from Glasgow to Edinburgh, then through the sticks of Northumberland National Park, to Newcastle. Then down to Leeds, and from there cycle along from Leeds to Lancashire and then finally finish in Liverpool. This is no mean feat and will take us a good five days to achieve covering well over 400 miles, not to mention the months of training beforehand to get in the right condition. We are doing this from 13th August and finishing in Liverpool on the 17th, so please help us achieve this goal by donating, no amount is too small. (For any Liverpool based people who knew my Dad and/or want to get involved in this cycle, then feel free! You can also join the last leg or two, finishing in Liverpool, and we will be celebrating my 30th birthday the weekend of the 17th/18th, so will be great to see some old faces! Even if just for a drink!
