Story
Unfortunately due to illness over the two weeks running up to the big day I have had to withdraw from this year’s London Marathon and defer my entry until next year. All was going well up until then, and I completed half marathons for the charity in Brighton, London and Hampton Court in the run up to the main event. I am hugely disappointed but more determined than ever to complete the course next year.
I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported our fund raising efforts so far - this is an amazing cause, close to our and many others’ hearts. Rest assured I have a number of other runs lined up over the coming year and so will continue to run for the charity in acknowledgement of all the generous donations and support from everyone.
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page. Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men. Over 11,000 men die every year in the UK and the number increases every year. The Mission of PCRC is to develop new therapy for men with advanced prostate cancer. The immediate goal is to increase survival and their vision is a cure for the disease. Every pound raised will help PCRC achieve their vision.
2019 will now be the big one!! As many people know our fund raising is inspired by the memory of my father-in-law, Alan Wrigglesworth. Alan was taken from us by this disease far too early, and Jane and I do what we can to prevent other families suffering the same loss.
I am very much looking forward to pounding the streets of London, albeit a year later than planned, and appreciate all the support Jane and I receive in our fund raising efforts..
