This is my first attempt at a run of any kind, and it all started as a bit of a joke when I hit the big 50! in October, someone in the office said I should enter the Dougie Mac 5k run and they would do it too.

I thought about it and decided to have a go and to raise money for the Douglas Macillan Hospice where I work in the lottery department.

The Hospice needs to raise £22,000 every day to continue to provide care to the local community.
