Hi, firstly thank you for this. I am very passionate about how reading can help a child massively in the early years and thereafter. If we are honest even now as adults we like a good story told to us and will even learn from that. I was never read to as a child and I want to raise the awareness of how important that is for Dads (inparticular) Mums, Step Mums/Dads, look - whoever can hold the book and read will make a difference! So across a 7 day period I am going to read to as many children as I possibly can, from as many classrooms, in as many schools all across the UK. The school will also benefit as a gift will be donated to the school and the money I raise will go to the N.L.T.towards helping children who don't have access to reading and children who do have access but need more help. I want to do it this way as not only the trust and the school benefits but the children will have a fun day as well.
