Story
Starting on 3rd August 2019, I'm cycling from Lands End (SW corner of the UK) to Cape Town. This is about 12,500 miles (20,000km) through terrain that's a bit more extreme than my usual 6 mile commute from Streatham to Charing Cross. Along the way I'll have to contend with deserts, malaria, lions (probably), rocky mountain roads and wild dogs. Am I crazy, stupid, brave or all three? Either way, this craziness/stupidity/bravery should surely be rewarded with a donation to an amazing charity.
The Ian Hutcheon Clinic for Children (IHCC) (since I've set off the charity has renamed itself Let the Children Hear) helps Ugandan children with
hearing problems by correcting the problems as early as possible,
allowing the children to continue normal development as much as
possible. Have a look at their fantastic work at

I'm going to be cycling via their clinic in Uganda, and I'm really looking forward to seeing them in action.
