Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In December 2019 my beautiful sister, Lesley, died far too young at the age of 64, from colon cancer. She spent the last few days of her life in her local hospice in Stoke Mandeville, and they were amazing in their care for her and in dealing with our grieving family. I am taking part in this challenge (to trek the final section of the Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain) in her memory, and to raise funds for my local hospice, St Wilfred's. Fundraising events like this are so important for the hospice movement - on average only 30% of their funding comes form the NHS, with the remainder needing to be raised via charitable donations, which is why your donation today is so important and so very much appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
