2020 marks SHOCC's 12th birthday and we have set up this page to raise funds for a variety of projects in our local area, Twickenham, and further afield. We urgently need money to build new classrooms at Mto Wa Mbu in Tanzania, build a new secondary school at Singida in Tanzania and develop the school farm at Orkilili as well as many other projects.

Since 2008, together with schools, families and friends in Northamptonshire,  we have provided fees for 40 orphans at two schools in Uganda (£100,000),  provided funding to purchase 5 acres of land for an eco-farm in Guatemala and install a hydro-therapy pool and solar lighting (£45,000), renovated the science laboratories at a girls' school in Kenya (£30,000) and have assisted many smaller projects in Twickenham and further afield.

In May 2020 several SHOCC Trustees and supporters will be taking part in the Shepperton 10k Walk. You can sponsor us by donating to this page. This year we are hoping to raise £2,000 towards the £10,000 needed for another classroom at Mto Wa Mbu. In 2018 and 2019 we managed to raise the £10,000 required and we hope to repeat this success in 2020. The photo above shows the new 2019 classroom extending the 2019 one.

All donations are sent directly to our projects and we make no deductions for salaries, rent or other costs except charges on our money transfers.
